Truck Driving School Continuing Education

Continuing education in truck driving is a standard part of the profession. By federal mandate and state regulation, truck drivers must possess a Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Drivers possessing a CDL might upgrade their CDL, for example from a Class B to a Class A, or add endorsements to it. A continuing education in truck driving can be beneficial in learning the skills necessary to make these changes.

Truck drivers have many options for continuing their education. Several driving schools offer commercial driving courses taught by certified instructors. As well, public colleges offer driving courses in advanced driving skills. Online education is not an option for truck driving courses.

Common features of continuing truck driving education include:

  • Air Brakes
  • Doubles & Triples
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Passengers
  • Tankers
  • School Bus
